1. Purpose
America Community Facelift (ACFC) is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Columbus, Ohio, dedicated to revitalizing neighborhoods through beautification, civic engagement, and generational stewardship.
This Donation Policy outlines how ACFC collects, processes, acknowledges, and manages donations received through its website (www.ACFCusa.org), events, and other giving channels.
We are committed to the principles of transparency, accountability, and donor intent, ensuring that every contribution directly supports our mission to revive communities and restore hope.

2. Legal Status
America Community Facelift (ACFC) is recognized by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) as a tax-exempt charitable organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
All contributions are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.
ACFC complies with all applicable Ohio Charitable Solicitation Laws and operates under the oversight of the Ohio Attorney General’s Charitable Law Section.

3. Donation Methods Accepted
ACFC accepts contributions in the following forms:
Online Donations: via secure payment processors (e.g., Donorbox, Givebutter, or Classy).
Recurring Donations: monthly, quarterly, or annual gifts through secure payment processors (e.g., Donorbox, Givebutter, or Classy).
Mail-In Donations: checks payable to America Community Facelift.
In-Kind Donations: goods, materials, and services relevant to ACFC programs (subject to prior approval).
Sponsorships and Corporate Contributions: provided such partnerships align with ACFC’s mission and values.

4. Use of Donations
All donations are applied toward ACFC’s charitable purposes, including:
Neighborhood beautification and restoration projects
Civic engagement programs and community outreach
Youth training and workforce development
Infrastructure improvement and public safety initiatives
a. Restricted Gifts
If a donor specifies a project or purpose for their donation, ACFC will make every reasonable effort to honor that intent. However, if circumstances change or the designated project is fully funded, ACFC reserves the right to redirect funds toward the area of greatest need while maintaining alignment with our mission.
b. Unrestricted Gifts
Unrestricted contributions provide flexibility for ACFC to address emerging priorities, operational needs, and long-term sustainability.

5. Donation Receipts & Tax Documentation
Donors will receive an official acknowledgment (receipt) for all donations of $250 or more, as required by the IRS, including:
Donor’s name
Date and amount of donation
Statement confirming that no goods or services were provided in exchange for the donation (or describing any applicable value received)
Receipts for online donations are automatically emailed. Donors contributing offline will receive receipts via email or postal mail.

6. Privacy & Donor Data Protection
ACFC respects donor privacy and protects all personal and financial information collected during the donation process.
Donor information will not be sold, traded, or shared with any other organization or entity.
Payment data is securely processed through PCI-compliant platforms.
Donors may request to remain anonymous.

7. Refunds and Errors
Donations are generally non-refundable. However, in the event of a duplicate transaction, payment error, or unauthorized charge, donors may contact ACFC within 7 business days at info@acfcusa.org to request a review.
Refunds, when approved, will be processed back to the original payment method in accordance with ACFC’s Return & Refund Policy.

8. Donor Communication & Recognition
ACFC may publicly recognize donors in annual reports, newsletters, or other materials unless the donor requests anonymity.
Donors may opt out of communications or updates at any time by contacting info@acfcusa.org or adjusting their preferences through their account (if applicable).

9. Compliance and Accountability
ACFC maintains accurate financial records, audited annually as required by nonprofit accounting standards.
All funds are managed in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and IRS nonprofit reporting guidelines.
We are committed to transparency and make our financial statements and Form 990 available upon request.
